About Me

'There's no agony than baring an untold story," said the great Zora Neal Hurston, which is why I have a blog. I am using my blog as a vehicle to tell stories of what's happening in my local town, as well as what's going on in our country. I want to give those who have a voice, but no audience, a microphone so people can listen. The word 'Melange' means mixture, and here on my blog I'll be writing about a variety things. From up and coming artists to future athletes and doctors that are shaping our society today. My name is Paulana Lamonier and I am the author & creator of this blog.

An aspiriing radio
personality, I am a 20 year-old, Haitian American with sas appeal like no other. Since 2009, I kind of developed my own swag by wearing a flower in my hair. Even though Billie Holiday initiated the 'flower power', I am simply just carrying on her legacy in my own way. Flowers signify growth, maturity, and it also goes great with a cute outfit, which is why I wear it. As one gets older, some of us get wiser, we mature and we grow, and I personally feel that I have matured, grown and 'wisened' up a bit .

In addition to a sense of style, even though this may sound nerdy, but I do love to read and write. I attend CUNY York College with a major in Journalism and minor in English. I am currently a junior and the Arts & Entertainment editor of the school newspaper, Pandora's Box.
